Aisling Bea

Aisling bea, who was born in Kildare Ireland on 16 March 1984 is Ireland's richest and most well-known comic. She appeared on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16th March 1984) is a stand-up comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea first began her career with stand-up comedy in the year 2011, following small parts that she acted in Irish and British TV dramas beginning in 2009. Bea began performing regularly on sketch comedy and sitcoms later in the year. In the wake of her success in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was booked for a variety of panel show. In 2016, and in 2017, she served as a team leader for 8 Out of 10 Cats. Additionally, she was a contestant of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian and Helen O'Sullivan. She has one younger sister, Sinead. In 2012 she was the second woman ever to win the So You Think You Are Funny award. Bea was given to her to honor her father. Aisling Cliodhnadh, O'Sullivan is the daughter of a Kildare woman who was born in Kildare. Her birth date was the 16th of March, 1984. Bea's father Brian was an equine vet who killed himself when she was only three years old. Bea didn't learn how her father died until after she turned thirteen. Bea was her stage name. Bea is a tribute to her father. Bea published an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017 on her journey dealing with suicide. Bea's mom Helen was also an instructor for jockeys and a former professional jockey was in charge of taking care of her as well as Sinead. The family was passionate about horses and races. Bea was a trainer for The Irish National Stud in her beginning years. She knew, however it wasn't something she wanted to do in a career and she preferred doing.
